Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you wanting better weaponry. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a penny.

After separating from Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen path, the blacksmith's location on your map conveniently leads you to the bow. Even if you opt for the miller's job, this shortcut remains accessible.

The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). Follow the western road out of Troskowitz, then continue north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area hides a small training ground.

Within this grove, you'll find a target with arrows – free ammo! To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew on a nearby stump and harvestable mushrooms. Once you've gathered your supplies, resume your quest.

Alternative Acquisition:

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most potent ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free bow, buying it isn't cost-effective. However, Vitek offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.

Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly improves your combat capabilities, especially if you prefer ranged combat over melee.

After obtaining the bow, continue your journey to Tachov to work as a blacksmith (saving after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller to continue the main storyline.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
