Genshin 5.0 Unveils Mysterious Characters

Genshin Impact Version 5.0: New Character Leaks Reveal Weapon Types and Elements

Version 5.0 of Genshin Impact is on the horizon, bringing with it two new characters, and a recent leak has unveiled their weapon types, rarities, and elements. While leaks regarding the upcoming Natlan region have been scarce compared to the influx of Sumeru and Fontaine information, the community has managed to uncover some intriguing details. These include speculation about a level cap increase to 100, Xbalanque's potential immortality, and the Pyro Archon's possible colonialist design.

For gacha enthusiasts, a reliable Genshin Impact leaker, FouL, has offered crucial insights into Version 5.0's character roster. The leak suggests the introduction of three new characters: a 5-Star male Dendro Claymore user, a 5-Star female Hydro Catalyst user, and a 4-Star female Geo Polearm user. This corroborates earlier leaks predicting two 5-Star Catalyst users and one 5-Star Claymore user from Natlan.

Version 5.0 Character Summary:

  • 5-Star Male Dendro Claymore User
  • 5-Star Female Hydro Catalyst User
  • 4-Star Female Geo Polearm User

The addition of a 5-Star Dendro Claymore user is a welcome change, given that Kaveh is currently the only character with that weapon and element combination. A new Hydro Catalyst, however, is less surprising given existing characters like Kokomi, Mona, Barbara, and Neuvillette. The 4-Star Geo Polearm user might be Iansan, teased in the Travail preview, but many believe Iansan will be one of the predicted 5-Star Catalyst users, potentially debuting in Version 5.1.

Separate leaks indicate that Versions 5.1 and 5.2 will each introduce just one 5-Star character, although specifics remain undisclosed. Natlan is anticipated to enhance certain Cryo and Hydro characters, such as Shenhe, Ayato, and potentially Emilie from Version 4.8. Version 5.0 is expected to launch in late August 2024, and official previews of Natlan and its inhabitants should be unveiled soon.
