German Uni Project Cognido Accumulates 40k Downloads
Cognido: A University Project That Conquered the App Stores
Developed by university student David Schreiber, Cognido is a solo-developed multiplayer brain-training game that's already amassed an impressive 40,000 downloads. This fast-paced game pits players against friends and strangers in quick-fire challenges ranging from simple math to trivia and beyond.
Many university projects fade into obscurity, but Cognido is a shining exception. Its success is easily understood – we all have fond memories of brain-training games, and Cognido offers a modern, engaging twist. While its squid-like mascot, Nido, may not quite match the charm of Dr. Kawashima, the gameplay is undeniably addictive.
Made in Germany, Accessible to All
Unlike many university assignments, Cognido offers both free and premium gameplay options. A subscription unlocks the full potential of the game, but a free trial allows players to test the waters before committing.
A significant update is on the horizon, introducing a new "Clash" mode for four to six players. This competitive format adds another layer of excitement to the already engaging experience.
