Glauco Longhi, returning to Santa Monica Studio earlier this year, has subtly hinted at a new game IP in his LinkedIn profile. His role? Overseeing character development for this "unannounced project." Longhi's previous work includes significant contributions to God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök. His LinkedIn profile states he's "Supervising/Directing Character development on an unannounced project, and also helping the studio to continually push and raise the bar on Character Development for videogames."

Adding fuel to the fire, Cory Barlog, creative director of the 2018 God of War reboot, previously alluded to the studio's involvement in multiple projects. Longhi's profile further supports this, noting Santa Monica Studio's active recruitment efforts, particularly for a character artist and tools programmer, suggesting a growing team and ongoing development.

Speculation points towards a new sci-fi IP, possibly spearheaded by Stig Asmussen, the creative director behind God of War 3. While unconfirmed, Sony's trademark of "Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet" earlier this year adds to the intrigue, although no further details have emerged.
