The God of War TV adaptation, a collaboration between Amazon and Sony, was revealed on a PlayStation podcast in 2022, following the 2018 game reboot’s success. This project aligns with Sony’s strategy to bring its acclaimed video game franchises to screens, starting with PlayStation Production in 2019. Other adaptations include a Horizon Zero Dawn series with Netflix and projects based on older franchises with strong fanbases.

Previously released adaptations include Naughty Dog’s Uncharted in 2022 and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us series in 2023, with its second season set for 2025. Additional releases include the Gran Turismo film in 2023 and the Twisted Metal series this year. Upcoming projects in development include Gravity Rush, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, and an Until Dawn film slated for April 25, 2025.
