Armor is a crucial part of any Operator's arsenal in Call of Duty Zombies. To upgrade beyond the standard Tier 3 armor, players can tackle a new Easter egg in Black Ops 6's The Tomb map and unlock the coveted Gold Armor Vest.

What Does Gold Armor Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor addresses the frustration of constantly replenishing armor plates. This upgrade automatically repairs armor over time, even without plates in your inventory. While manual plating remains an option, Gold Armor significantly improves resource management and ensures you're always protected from devastating one-hit kills by powerful enemies like Amalgams.

How To Get Gold Armor on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Here's how to obtain the Gold Armor Vest on The Tomb map in Black Ops 6 Zombies:

1. Acquire two statue heads: Locate these within the Dark Aether Nexus, hidden inside destructible wooden boxes.
2. Repair the statues: Place the statue heads on the ruined statues in the Dig Site area.
3. Complete two Blood Sacrifices: Survive these challenging encounters.
4. Purchase the Gold Armor Vest: It will become available as a Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.

Where To Find the Statue Heads in The Tomb

The statue heads are found within the Dark Aether Nexus, inside destructible wooden boxes. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus (closest to the green Gateway portal), and the other is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine. Melee attack the boxes to reveal and collect the heads.

How To Use the Statue Heads

Once you've collected both heads, return to the Dig Site. Place a head on each of the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is further up in the Dig Site, near the Roman Mausoleum. Interacting with the repaired statues will initiate a Blood Sacrifice.

How To Survive the Blood Sacrifice

The Blood Sacrifice spawns multiple high-value target (HVT) versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. Players are reduced to 1 HP during this challenge, but damage is absorbed by armor plates. It's crucial to have a Tier 3 vest and ample plates before starting. The challenge doesn't remove existing enemies, so starting at the end of a round is recommended.

Solo players can exploit the challenge by using a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler for invincibility. In co-op, a player outside the Dig Site can use a Chopper Gunner to eliminate the HVTs.

After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest will be available for purchase in the Roman Mausoleum.
