Google Play Store Updates: Auto-Launched Apps Incoming
Ever download an app and immediately forget about it? Google Play Store might have the answer. A new feature, reportedly in the works, will automatically launch newly installed apps.
The Details:
Android Authority reports Google Play is developing a feature to streamline app installation. This potential addition would open apps instantly upon download completion. No more hunting for icons! This feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," is currently based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19, so it's not officially confirmed.
The good news? It would be completely optional. Users can enable or disable auto-launch as needed.
How It Would Work:
Upon download completion, a notification banner will appear at the top of your screen for approximately 5 seconds. Your phone may also vibrate or ring, ensuring you won't miss it.
Important Note:
This information is unofficial, and a release date is yet to be announced. We'll update you as soon as Google provides further details.
