Guide to Acquiring a Horse in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

As soon as you dive into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the vast open-world can feel daunting. Navigating on foot can be inefficient, but fear not—here's how you can get a horse to make your journey smoother.

Getting Your Horse Back in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

First things first, it's entirely possible to reclaim your original horse, Pebbles, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Head south to Semine and find the horse trader NPC. However, retrieving Pebbles isn't straightforward. You'll need to either pay with Groschen or use your persuasion or intimidation skills to convince the trader to hand her over.

In my experience, following the main questline and working with Radovan the blacksmith allowed me to acquire new clothes that made Henry appear more noble. This helped me persuade the horse trader to release Pebbles without payment, though it did slightly tarnish my reputation in Semine. If persuasion doesn't work, be prepared to pay the Groschen to get Pebbles back.

How to Steal a Horse

If you're feeling a bit more daring, stealing a horse is another option. While wild horses are rare in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you can find them at farms or stables.

I suggest making your way to Vidlak Pond in the west, where you'll find a farmhouse owned by fishermen. They have two horses you can mount and ride away with. After securing your stolen horse, head to the Nomads’ Camp just east of Vidlak Pond. Here, you can speak with the horse trainer NPC to learn how to saddle and tame your new steed, though this will come at a cost.

Alternatively, you can choose to ride the horse without any training, though this might make handling it more challenging.

And that's how you can get a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and detailed guides, be sure to check out The Escapist.
