Guide to Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest becomes available early in your journey, provided you've completed "The Jaunt." This quest is great for obtaining a mace or some extra Groschen, so let's dive into how you can successfully complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. The most convenient time to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes. You can talk to Gules while he's enjoying a drink before the ceremony starts. Alternatively, you can find him on patrol at Semine beforehand. During your conversation, inquire about his past association with a band of bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker, one of these former bandits, will be your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated to the north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious as the route to this location is prone to bandit ambushes. You can choose to sneak past them, engage them in combat, or simply flee. While these random bandits aren't usually challenging, it's wise to conserve your health for the upcoming battle.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountainous area, and it's easy to overlook since you need to pass through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Arm yourself appropriately before entering, as you'll face multiple bandits along with Canker himself.

During the fight, some bandits may attempt to flee depending on the order in which you take them down. However, it's essential to eliminate most of them. Fortunately, Canker won't try to escape, ensuring you can complete the quest by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his bandit crew, loot Canker's body to collect the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any other items you find on him as well. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to wrap up the "Canker" quest.

Upon completing "Canker" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can proceed with the next quest involving Gules' former bandit associates. After the day has passed, speak with Gules again to start "Handsome Charlie."
