In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, keeping your shoes in good condition is crucial for your journey. Without them, you'll be left wandering barefoot, which is far from ideal. Here's how you can acquire new shoes and keep your current ones in tip-top shape.

How to Get Shoes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

While you begin the game with a pair of shoes, you don't have to stick with them throughout your adventure. There are several ways to get new shoes. You can stumble upon them in chests or claim them as loot from poachers and other human enemies. If you prefer a more lawful approach, you can purchase them.

Tailors, like the one in Troskowitz, sell shoes, but they often lack impressive stats. For better quality, seek out a cobbler. You can find one in Trosky early on, identified by a symbol on the map resembling three red pieces in a circle, as shown below.

When you talk to a cobbler, you'll find a variety of items for sale, not just shoes. Cobbler Matthew, for instance, also sells horse-related items. You can even buy materials, Blacksmith’s Kits, and Cobbler’s Kits from him.

How to Repair Shoes

Repairing your shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be done in multiple ways. You can have them fixed by cobblers or blacksmiths by selecting the repair option when you speak to them. This brings up a menu where you choose the items to repair and see the cost. The repair costs can be reduced if you take perks in the Craftsmanship skill, which grants percentage discounts on NPC repairs for both shoes and armor.

Alternatively, you can repair your shoes yourself, provided your Craftsmanship level is high enough. If not, you won't be able to mend your shoes or other equipment. To repair your shoes, you'll need a Cobbler’s Kit.

Cobbler’s Kits can be bought from various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths, or found in chests and looted from NPCs. To use a Cobbler’s Kit, navigate to it in your inventory and press the interact button ("E" on PC). This opens a menu showing damaged items that can be repaired with the kit. If an item appears faded, your skill level isn't sufficient to repair it. Otherwise, select the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to fix them.

That's how you can get and repair shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For repairing other gear, use the Blacksmith’s Kit similarly. It's always wise to keep your gear in good condition by seeking out capable vendors when needed, ensuring you're never left stranded with worn-out equipment.
