Pokemon Day 2025 may have come and gone, but The Pokemon Company isn't done surprising its fans. A new event in *Pokemon GO* introduces an adorable yet powerful Pokemon, Kubfu, and here’s how you can add it to your collection.

How To Catch Kubfu in Pokemon GO

The Might and Mastery event is currently live in *Pokemon GO*, bringing a host of new features to the beloved mobile game. The highlight, however, is the debut of the Wushu Pokemon, Kubfu. Fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, since their introduction in the *Pokemon Sword and Shield* DLC. Now, the wait is over, and you can catch Kubfu by completing a series of tasks.

To get your hands on Kubfu, navigate to the Special Research tab in *Pokemon GO* and locate the "Might and Mastery" section. Here are the tasks you need to complete:

Upon completing these quests, Kubfu will appear, and you'll earn 891 XP. Remember, the Special Research is only available until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss out on your chance to catch Kubfu.

Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

If one Kubfu isn't enough for you, *Pokemon GO* has you covered with the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass. For $8, you can access additional Research tasks and have the opportunity to catch a second Kubfu. The pass includes:

• One Incense
• Two Premium Battle Passes
• One Star Piece
• Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
• A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu

However, the Fuzzy Fighter pass is only available for purchase until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once purchased, the tasks won't disappear, giving you more time to complete them.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

While Kubfu is undeniably cute, competitive players might be curious about evolving it into Urshifu. As of now, it doesn't seem possible to evolve Kubfu in *Pokemon GO*, but future updates might change this, especially given that Kubfu's evolution is featured on the Might and Mastery event's loading screen.
