HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players will recognize the acclaimed hunting gameplay developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released in August 2022.

Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?

While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay and DLC content will be included in the mobile release. Currently in beta testing, THQ Nordic and HandyGames plan a full launch soon. A closed beta test signup is available via a form on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?

Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic animal behavior and strategic hunting. Explore vast open worlds inspired by the US and Europe, covering a massive 55 square miles. Utilize authentic weapons, from rifles to bows, and employ advanced tracking techniques like blood splatter analysis to secure your trophies.

The game features a dynamic ecosystem where your actions have consequences. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate. Manage your in-game economy by selling harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge. Campaign and co-op modes are included, along with full controller support on mobile.
