Haunted Halloween Armor Unveiled for Destiny 2

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Horror-Themed Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players will soon have a chilling choice to make: vote for new horror-themed armor sets in the upcoming Festival of the Lost event. Bungie has unveiled two competing styles, "Slashers" and "Spectres," each inspired by iconic horror villains and urban legends. This year's event pits Jason Voorhees and Ghostface against the Babadook and La Llorona, with unique Warlock armor sets completing each faction.

The reveal, however, comes amidst a backdrop of player frustration. Episode Revenant, the current season, has been plagued by bugs and performance issues, leading to declining player numbers and engagement. While some issues have been addressed, the lingering problems have overshadowed the excitement surrounding the new armor. The announcement of Festival of the Lost armor, ten months in advance, has further fueled community concerns, with many players hoping for more immediate attention to the game's current state.

The "Slashers" faction features Jason-inspired Titan armor, Ghostface-themed Hunter armor, and a Scarecrow Warlock set. Conversely, the "Spectres" faction offers Babadook-inspired Titan armor, La Llorona-themed Hunter armor, and a highly anticipated Slenderman Warlock set. The community is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to cast their votes and determine which terrifying aesthetic prevails. Additionally, Bungie has confirmed the return of the 2024 Festival of the Lost Wizard armor during Episode Heresy.

Despite the anticipation for the Halloween event's cosmetic offerings, the prevailing sentiment within the Destiny 2 community is one of concern over the game's current stability and dwindling player base. The focus on a distant event, while understandable given the planning involved, has highlighted the disconnect between Bungie's announcements and the immediate needs of its player base.
