Helldivers 2 Update 01.000.403 Now Available

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, primarily addressing a critical crash bug linked to the FAF-14 Spear weapon. This update also incorporates a range of bug fixes designed to improve overall gameplay stability and player experience.

Helldivers 2, a 2024 cooperative third-person shooter, has garnered positive feedback for its intense action. Arrowhead's commitment to regular updates continues, with this patch focusing on both gameplay refinements and technical stability. Previous updates addressed Spear targeting issues, but inadvertently introduced a new crash; this patch resolves that, along with a separate crash related to unique hellpod launch sequences. A significant addition is the global rollout of Japanese voiceovers for both PS5 and PC platforms.

Beyond crash fixes, patch 01.000.403 tackles several other issues. Traditional Chinese text corruption has been resolved, ensuring accurate character display. The Plasma Punisher now functions correctly with the SH-32 and FX-12 Shield Generator Packs, and the Quasar cannon's heat management accurately reflects planetary conditions. Visual glitches, such as the purple Spore Spewer and pink question marks in missions, have also been eliminated. Furthermore, the issue of available Operations resetting after reconnection due to inactivity has been rectified.

While numerous issues have been addressed, some remain under development. These include problems with in-game friend requests, delays in reward payouts, invisible (but active) mines, inconsistent Arc weapon behavior, weapons firing below the crosshair, and an inaccurate mission count in the Career tab. Additionally, some weapon descriptions are outdated.

Patch 01.000.403 is now live, incorporating the aforementioned fixes. Arrowhead continues to actively engage with player feedback and work towards resolving outstanding issues, aiming for a consistently improved gaming experience.
