Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 Update Arrives Soon

HoYoverse prepares to launch Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 on July 2, titled "For the Sun is Set to Die." The latest update reintroduces fan-favorite characters alongside significant quality-of-life improvements.

Major Gameplay Enhancements Arrive

Recent Developer Radio announcements confirm the addition of highly requested features including dialogue skip functionality and story summaries. These improvements aim to enhance player experience without compromising narrative depth.

Story Developments Unfold

Phainon, the respected Chrysos Heirs member from Aedes Elysiae, becomes playable with a compelling backstory tracing his evolution from warrior to Flame-Chase leader. His combat abilities showcase three thematic power sets: Origination, Calamity, and Foundation Titans.

Penacony's narrative takes an exciting turn with the "Sweet Dreams and Holy Grail War" event beginning July 11. This special tournament features seven participants summoning historical Penacony figures as Servants, including notable characters Aventurine and Miss Robin.

Fate/stay night Collaboration Event

The version's highlight is a crossover with Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works, introducing three Heroic Spirits:

• Saber - Wind-type 5-star Destruction path
• Archer - Free Quantum-type Hunt character (available July 11 through Version 3.6)
• Lancer

Both Saber and Archer will remain obtainable via permanent banners post-event, complete with their signature Light Cones.

Character Reruns and Upgrades

Version 3.4 delivers two phases of returning characters:

• First Phase: Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle
• Second Phase: Firefly, Jingliu, Blade

Four characters receive combat upgrades: Silver Wolf, Kafka, Jingliu, and Blade.
