A recent leak suggests Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will include a free 4-star character selector, potentially as part of a limited-time event. This selector would allow players to choose from Qingque, Pela, Serval, or Asta.

This news is significant given Honkai: Star Rail's recent trend of releasing more 5-star characters, leaving fewer 4-star additions. While some 4-stars remain valuable, they often require significant Eidolon investment to reach their full potential. Past free selectors in Versions 2.1 and 2.7 helped players acquire these crucial Eidolons.

The leaked selector features characters from the game's initial 1.0 cycle, including Asta, a character readily available early in the game. This leak further supports speculation that developer HoYoverse may be focusing on 5-star character releases in the near future. Rumors suggest all upcoming characters will be 5-star, adding credence to the possibility of fewer new 4-star units.

The selector's options include:

• Qingque: Quantum, Erudition
• Pela: Ice, Nihility
