New Images and Details Revealed for Lion King Ride at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon

Exciting new details and images have emerged for the upcoming Lion King ride, set to debut at Disneyland Paris. Construction is slated to kick off in Fall 2025, and this will be the first-ever land and attraction dedicated to the beloved 1994 classic, The Lion King. Part of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World, this new water ride promises to immerse guests in the epic moments of the film.

The land will feature a striking 120-foot-high Pride Rock, along with a variety of dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greet experiences. A newly released concept image showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle environment, hinting at the adventure that awaits. The ride itself will include a thrilling 52-foot drop, slightly taller than the one in Tiana's Bayou Adventure, adding to the excitement.

The Lion King ride is set to open after the much-anticipated World of Frozen in 2026. It will be a key component of Disney Adventure World, which will expand the park's footprint twofold. Alongside this new attraction, visitors can look forward to the Raiponce Tangled Spin ride, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction themed after Up, a spinning carousel offering panoramic views of the park's stunning scenery.

The new park entrance, World Premiere, will open its doors on May 15, 2025, aiming to recreate the glamour of a Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to it, World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End district, will host theaters with captivating shows such as TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
