Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features Event Unveils Blade, Hints at Season 2 Content

Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features event has treated players to the first official artwork of Blade, fueling speculation about his potential arrival as a playable character in Season 2. Season 1 is currently underway, offering players new maps, a new game mode, and a substantial battle pass.

The Midnight Features quests, located in the Season menu, are divided into five chapters, each with three quests. Completing these quests rewards players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. While some challenges are currently time-gated, all five chapters are expected to be available by January 17th.

Chapter 3's reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade battling Dracula, Season 1's antagonist. While Blade's presence in the game files had been previously rumored, this artwork marks the first official confirmation from NetEase Games. Season 1's narrative establishes Dracula's removal of Blade and Doctor Strange from the battlefield.

Blade's Potential as a Playable Character

Blade's appearance strongly suggests a playable role in Season 2. Fan theories anticipate a Season 1 finale featuring the Fantastic Four defeating Dracula to rescue New York City, Blade, and Doctor Strange. Many believe Blade would excel as a Duelist, potentially featuring a transformation ability similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimates, enhancing his strength, modifying attacks, and granting wall-hack capabilities.

Beyond Blade, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's complete ability kit, hinting at a Strategist role with healing and support capabilities.
