January 2025 PS Plus Free Games Now Available

Sony has unveiled its exciting lineup of free PlayStation Plus games for January 2025, now available for redemption in the PlayStation Store. This month's selection includes three captivating titles: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. PlayStation Plus subscribers across all tiers—Essential, Extra, and Premium—can claim these games at no additional cost until Monday, February 3, 2025.

The highlight of this month's lineup is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developed by Rocksteady Studios, known for the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. Despite its controversial reception upon its February 2024 release, this game offers a substantial experience with a hefty file size of 79.43 GB on PS5. It's an opportunity for many subscribers to dive into this action-packed title for the first time.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered caters to racing enthusiasts with a file size of 31.55 GB on PS4. Notably, this game does not have a native PS5 version or upgrade, but it remains fully playable on the newer console through backwards compatibility. While it doesn't leverage the PS5's enhanced features, it still promises thrilling races and high-speed chases.

Rounding out the trio is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, available in both PS4 and PS5 versions with file sizes of 5.10 GB and 5.77 GB, respectively. This expanded re-imagining of the 2013 original introduces new features, including enhanced accessibility options and content warnings, making it a unique addition to the lineup.

To add all three games to their library, PlayStation Plus subscribers will need at least 117 GB of free storage space on their PS5. As the month progresses, anticipation builds for the announcement of February 2025's PlayStation Plus games, expected near the end of January.
