Zenless Zone Zero Sets Major Reveal for January 22

Zenless Zone Zero has officially confirmed the launch of Version 1.5 for January 22. This major update introduces a host of new features, including the S-Rank Agents Astra and Evelyn, new gameplay modes, system optimizations, and more. HoYoverse maintains a consistent update schedule for the game, ensuring players always have fresh characters and engaging content to explore.

Version 1.4 was a significant chapter for Zenless Zone Zero, concluding storylines that began at launch and introducing the much-anticipated character Hoshimi Miyabi. As that version's cycle draws to a close, the recent Version 1.5 Special Program livestream has successfully shifted community focus to the upcoming content, detailing all the new experiences awaiting players.

For many fans, the highlight of Version 1.5 is the arrival of two new S-Rank Agents. Astra Yao, an Ether Support character, debuts in the first phase. Her element makes her a valuable addition, as she joins the exclusive group of Ether-based Agents currently limited to Nicole and Zhu Yuan. Her signature W-Engine, Elegant Vanity, will also be available on her promotional banner. Phase 2 begins on February 12, featuring Evelyn Chevalier, a Fire Attacker who serves as Astra's bodyguard. Her exclusive W-Engine, Heartstring Nocturne, will similarly be available for a limited time during her banner.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 Launches on January 22

Beyond the new Agents, Version 1.5 offers a wealth of additional content. A new special story chapter continues the narrative following the conclusion of the main storyline in Version 1.4. Players can also obtain the S-Rank Bangboo unit Snap, participate in new log-in events, and benefit from further game optimizations. Existing activities receive updates, including the new Hollow Zero phase "Cleanse Calamity" and a fresh arcade game titled "Mach 25." The update also introduces new costumes for Ellen, Nicole, and Astra Yao.

A highly-requested feature finally arrives with Version 1.5: banner reruns. Following the model of HoYoverse's other titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero will now rerun past S-Rank Agent banners. The first phase will feature a rerun for Ellen Joe alongside her signature W-Engine. During the mid-season shift into Phase 2, a rerun banner for Qingyi and her exclusive W-Engine will also become available.
