Japan Expansion for Ticket to Ride: Build the Bullet Train Network!
Embark on a virtual journey through Japan with the latest expansion for Ticket to Ride, brought to you by Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment. The Japan Expansion has now been released for the digital version of this beloved board game, introducing an exciting new way to play.
Help Build the Train Network
For the very first time, the iconic Japan map from the physical game is available on digital platforms. However, this digital version offers a twist: instead of solely focusing on building your own train empire, you'll contribute to constructing a national Bullet Train network that benefits everyone.
The gameplay is cooperative with a strategic edge. You might be tempted to slack off and let others shoulder the workload while you collect points. But beware—the game includes a karma system! If you neglect your Bullet Train responsibilities, you'll lose 20 points when the final scores are tallied. So, even if you're plotting some friendly sabotage, you'll need to lend a helping hand.
The Japan Expansion introduces two new characters to the game. Meet Nakanishi Kimiko, a travel blogger who loves exploring festivals with her dog, adding a lively vibe to your journey. Then there's Moriyama Isamu, a gyōji or sumo referee, who brings Japan's rich cultural heritage into the game, enhancing the experience with local flair beyond just maps and trains.
Ticket to Ride Has Upgraded Trains with the Japan Expansion
Your train collection is set to receive a stylish upgrade. The expansion introduces two new trains and carriages: the Ichi Eki Saki train with the Tsuki Sleeper carriage for those who enjoy leisurely travel, and the Isogaba Maware train paired with the Hayai carriage for those who prefer speed and efficiency.
With spring in full bloom, the Japan map is poised to captivate players with its seasonal charm. The Japan Expansion is available for download now, perfect for anyone looking to enhance their Ticket to Ride experience. You can find it on the Google Play Store.
