Global pre-registrations are now open for Kaiju No. 8 The Game on Android devices, as revealed by Akatsuki Games' first official trailer in June 2024. After months of silence following its announcement, the highly anticipated manga and anime adaptation is preparing for its mobile and PC debut.

When Can Players Expect the Launch?

The game's store listing indicates an August 31, 2025 release date. This collaborative project between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G promises to faithfully recreate the distinct atmosphere of Naoya Matsumoto's acclaimed series.

Gameplay fuses cinematic storytelling with strategic turn-based combat, requiring players to strategically expose Kaiju weak points before executing powerful finishing moves.

Players will command fan-favorite characters including Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya - all rendered in meticulously detailed 3D models that faithfully replicate their signature combat techniques from the source material.

While the game revisits major story arcs, it also expands the Kaiju No. 8 universe with exclusive original content.

Pre-Registration Campaign Launches Worldwide

Akatsuki Games has implemented a tiered rewards system tied to global pre-registration numbers. Early sign-ups contribute toward unlocking better launch bonuses, with the top reward being the 4-star variant [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro character.

The newly released trailer showcases both Defense Force officers and monstrous Kaiju threats in action. Players can currently pre-register through the Google Play Store while viewing the latest gameplay preview below.
