KEMCO Launches Card Deck-Building Roguelite Novel Rogue on Android

KEMCO has released a new roguelite RPG for Android: Novel Rogue. This pixel-art fantasy JRPG blends card deck-building with captivating storytelling. Prepare for a journey filled with magic, strategy, and intriguing narratives.

You play as Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals, within the Ancient Library. Wright's adventure unfolds across four magical books, each transporting him to a unique world. One book might find you aiding a princess knight in reclaiming a fallen kingdom, while another plunges you into the mysteries of the underworld. Your choices shape these worlds, ensuring every playthrough is a fresh experience.

Novel Rogue Gameplay

At its core, Novel Rogue features a turn-based card battle system that adapts to the book you're currently exploring. Each of the four worlds boasts its own distinct deck-building mechanics. Defeat enemies, choose from three new cards after each battle, and craft the ultimate deck to conquer your foes.

Strategic depth comes from the "Change" command, allowing you to redistribute damage among your allies. "Novel Power," fueled by ink, enhances your deck. For a greater challenge, try Deep Record mode, which significantly increases dungeon difficulty.

As you progress, collect treasures to cultivate relationships with characters. These bonds unlock special endings. Customize your characters' appearances using Witch Stones to equip your favorite costumes.

Novel Rogue is available now for free on the Google Play Store. A premium version offers 150 bonus Witch Stones and additional perks, including an ad-free experience.
