The King of Fighters AFK launches early access in Canada and Thailand for Android and iOS

The King of Fighters AFK is now available for early access in Thailand and Canada! Fans in these regions can download it immediately from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. A guaranteed recruitment of Mature from the Orochi Clan awaits new players.

While the demise of King of Fighters Allstar is a blow for some, the arrival of KoF AFK offers a new mobile experience. Following last week's pre-registration launch, this retro RPG-style game lets players build teams of iconic King of Fighters characters for 5v5 battles. NetMarble has confirmed that player progress will carry over to the full release.

KoF AFK takes a different approach than its predecessor, Allstar, which featured notable crossovers (like the WWE). This new title ventures further from the original beat-'em-up genre.

Despite the genre shift, KoF AFK may appeal to fans with its Neo-Geo Pocket-inspired character sprites and the early access bonus of recruiting Mature. However, it faces the challenge of winning back players potentially wary after the Allstar experience.
