KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?
KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Servers Shut Down After 3.5-Year Run
Another gacha game bites the dust. KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially ended its service on January 30th. While a 3.5-year lifespan (compared to the Japanese version's 5 years) is respectable for an anime-based gacha, it's still a relatively short run, especially considering declining revenue in recent times.
The developers, having shifted focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game, maintained active support until the very end. This included new voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to the shutdown. A farewell livestream in December even featured Kazuma's voice actor.
The Japanese version offers an impressive offline version preserving the main story, voice lines, and character collection on YouTube. Unfortunately, the Global version lacks such an offline option or dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the adventures of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew.
This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on the February Community Day in Pokémon Go, featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
