Lara Croft's Android Adventure: Guardian of Light Now Available
Lara Croft is making a triumphant return to mobile gaming, as Feral Interactive has officially launched Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on Android devices. This marks a new opportunity for fans to dive into Crystal Dynamics' beloved isometric tomb-raiding adventure, where you'll blast through undead enemies and solve intricate ancient puzzles.
Originally hitting the market in 2010, one of the game's most celebrated features is its co-op gameplay, which remains a standout in this updated version. Unlike other entries in the Tomb Raider series, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light offers a non-linear, arcade-inspired action adventure that promises hours of engaging play.
This Time, the Stakes Are High
The narrative thrusts players into a high-stakes scenario where the world teeters on the brink of eternal darkness. Lara Croft, the iconic adventurer, stands as the last line of defense against total doom. Equipped with her iconic dual pistols, she must navigate through a gauntlet of undead enemies, using her skills to dodge, grapple, and outsmart her foes.
Her ultimate mission? To confront and defeat Xolotl, the Aztec god of death. Players have the option to team up with a friend in this twin-stick shooter, thanks to the game's online co-op feature. One of the most exciting aspects of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is its cross-platform play, allowing iOS and Android users to join forces seamlessly.
To celebrate the launch, Feral Interactive released a new trailer for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on Android. You can view it right here!
This Mobile Release Doesn’t Skimp on Content
The Android version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light includes all fourteen levels from the original release, alongside three free DLC packs. This means players have access to a wealth of content, including hidden collectibles, high-score challenges, and additional weapons and stat-boosting artifacts.
This mobile port also offers customizable touchscreen controls, allowing players to tailor the experience to their preferences, or the option to connect a gamepad for a more traditional gaming feel. The game is now available on the Google Play Store for $9.99, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
