LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

by Elijah May 28,2025

LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to hit the market on May 1, 2025, as part of Disney's celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally marks this occasion with the release of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, we saw Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to the release of Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, known to many as Slave I (view it on the LEGO Store). The name was officially changed in 2021 at Disney's request (confirmed by LEGO), and it appears the new name is here to stay.

The last significant iteration of this iconic LEGO starship was in 2019, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set based on its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The latest version, featuring 2970 pieces, showcases the ship as seen in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This new model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
