The SteamOS-powered Legion Go S comes in two configurations to cater to different needs. The first model, equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, is priced at $549.99, matching the cost of the 512GB OLED Steam Deck. The second, more robust option, features the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, and is available for $749.99.
Both models offer a 120Hz gaming handheld experience with two USB-C ports, allowing for easy storage expansion via microSD cards. They also include trigger locks for hair triggers, enhancing gameplay in competitive shooters such as Marvel Rivals.
With processors more powerful than those in the Steam Deck, the Legion Go S is designed to handle recent games that might be challenging for the Deck, such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Star Wars Outlaws, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Monster Hunter Wilds.

It's important to note that these SteamOS-based Legion Go S models differ from the earlier Windows 11-based Legion Go S, which you can read about in our Lenovo Legion Go S review. If you're still interested in the Windows version, it's available at Best Buy for $729.99.
Valve has announced plans to make SteamOS available for other non-Steam Deck handhelds, suggesting that soon you'll be able to install SteamOS on a variety of handheld gaming PCs. However, if you're specifically looking for devices more powerful than the Steam Deck to run SteamOS, the Lenovo Legion Go S models stand out as top contenders.
