Lies of P DLC and Sequel Announced: A Director's Letter Reveals New Content and Future Plans

Director Ji-Won Choi recently released a message to the Lies of P community, offering thanks and exciting teases regarding upcoming DLC and a sequel to the steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game.

Celebrating the game's one-year anniversary, NEOWIZ shared Choi's letter, expressing gratitude for fan support and detailing the team's dedication to the upcoming DLC. The development team, enduring Korea's summer heat, worked tirelessly to create an expansion that builds upon the original game's strengths while addressing previous issues. Choi stated their goal is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." He also expressed appreciation for Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.

The letter included a sneak peek: concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse, hinting at a new, perilous storyline. A new musical piece from the DLC soundtrack, "Lisrim" (originally composed in 2022 by onoken), was also shared. The accompanying music video, featuring a character with a clockwork weapon, further enhances the anticipation. NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the song and the game, eliminating any copyright concerns.

DLC Release Date and Additional Information

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside four other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Last November, an eight-minute video showcased early concept art, revealing environments such as a large industrial facility and a wrecked ship, further expanding the scope of the upcoming DLC.

Choi concluded by assuring fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, and that the DLC represents only the beginning, with a full sequel also in development.
