Limbus Company: Guide to Leveling Up Sinners
In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners significantly impact their combat effectiveness. Just like in other RPGs, it's crucial to level up your team to progress through the game and tackle tougher challenges. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't fare well if they're underleveled. For newcomers eager to boost their characters' XP, here's a concise guide on the best methods to do so.
As I look forward to games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness, I find myself yearning for a high-quality anime game that isn't reliant on gacha mechanics. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, I'm really in the market for a triple-A experience that offers the same engaging gameplay without the randomness of monetization.
Combat and Grinding --------------------For new players, the primary way to earn XP is through combat. Every Sinner in your team gains XP after clearing a combat encounter, regardless of their participation, though active fighters earn more XP than those who sit out. However, this method can be slow, especially as the game's battles increase in difficulty, pushing you to seek more efficient leveling strategies.
Upon reaching the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to engage specific enemies for various rewards. While the battles themselves are a good source of XP, the real advantage lies in the consumable items you can acquire, which are excellent for speeding up your Sinners' leveling process.
Using Consumable Items
For those looking to bypass the grind and quickly level up their Sinners' Identities, consider using Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These consumables are designed to expedite character leveling and come in various rarities.
Identity Training Tickets
Identity Training Tickets provide a fixed amount of XP to an Identity. Similar to level-up materials in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact, these tickets help reduce the grind significantly. However, maxing out a single character may require a substantial number of these tickets. They are available in four tiers, each offering increasing amounts of XP:
- Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP
You can primarily obtain these tickets by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages. They're also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as periodic attendance check events.
Level Boost Tickets
Level Boost Tickets are highly valuable as they instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specified level, skipping the need for XP. Due to their rarity, they're more precious than Identity Training Tickets. They're mostly acquired via the Limbus Pass and occasionally through attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, these cannot be farmed. The different levels achievable with Level Boost Tickets are:
- Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
- Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
- Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
- Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40
As of now, the maximum level for Identities is 50. To efficiently level up multiple characters, you'll want to strategically use both Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets.
To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
