"Locate Butterfly Collectors in Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Tips and Locations"
In the intricate world of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, uncovering the plots of various factions is a thrilling endeavor. One such group that captures your attention is the Butterfly Collector, a seemingly innocuous name that belies a sinister purpose. If you're on a quest to dismantle this group and its members, let us guide you through this captivating journey.
The Butterfly Collector in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Explained
Your quest begins in the bustling city of Osaka, situated in the central part of Izumi Settsu. Here, you'll encounter a woman in the town center discussing a game involving the hunt for origami butterflies. These large paper butterflies, pinned to tree trunks with real butterflies fluttering around them, are scattered throughout the city. As you collect them, you'll uncover disturbing notes that reveal the true nature of the Butterfly Collector.
This group, far from being a playful society, is a secret faction of women with a dark agenda: kidnapping children from affluent families to establish power and influence. Your mission becomes clear: stop these heinous acts by hunting down the Butterfly Collector members.

How and Where To Find All Butterfly Collector Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Locating the members of the Butterfly Collector involves deciphering geographical clues, but we've streamlined the process to help you reach your targets efficiently.
Shucho
Shucho's carelessness leads you to her in the Fishermen’s District at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Dressed in green and frantically searching at an intersection, she has lost a kidnapped child nearby. Confront her with Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s weapons, then rescue the child hiding behind some horses.
Mucho
Next, head northwest across the bridge to the Kojo ruins. Mucho, posing as a family jochu, is struggling with her mark on the road just south of the ruins. Use the child’s resistance to get close, then engage and defeat Mucho. Escort the child back to their mother before continuing your hunt.
Richo
Richo, a young woman who pretends to be of higher standing, can be found in a bamboo grove at the northern end of Osaka, specifically in Noda Village across the water. Locals might mention a suspicious woman, your clue to finding Richo dressed in pink. Neutralize her and rescue the child she has kidnapped.
Kacho
After dealing with the previous targets, you'll confront Kacho, the leader of the Butterfly Collector. Her cult-like control over her followers makes her a formidable opponent. Locate her just north of Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted area marked by numerous butterflies. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a fierce battle. Kacho will fight to the death, leaving one final member to address.
Gamemaker
Your journey concludes with the Gamemaker, the one who initiated the butterfly collecting quest. Return to her marked location on the map for a crucial decision. As a former victim, she created the game in hopes that someone would unravel the mystery and save others. Decide her fate: punishment or a chance at redemption through a new life. Your choice will end the Butterfly Collector faction, granting you 5,500 XP toward your next level.
And that's how you can find and dismantle the Butterfly Collector and its members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. For more assistance with the game, be sure to explore resources available on The Escapist.
