Before stepping into her role as an assist character, Madam Bo played a part in Mortal Kombat 1's story mode. She was seemingly defeated by Lin Kuei assassin Smoke for failing to pay protection money, but it was all a clever ruse to prepare Raiden and Kung Lao for the tournament. Don't let her appearance deceive you; Madam Bo is a force to be reckoned with. As a former associate of the Lin Kuei and a skilled martial artist, she has mentored both Raiden and Kung Lao, making her a valuable ally in battle.
