Today's reveal also highlights some unique features of the set, including Summons, which are part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon for aid in battle (see Summon: Shiva in the gallery). Moreover, double-faced cards make a comeback, as exemplified by Cecil's dual sides: Dark Knight and Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of them being legendary borderless cards, illustrated by fan-favorite artists from the rich history of Final Fantasy.
Set to be fully draftable and Standard-legal, the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy set will launch on June 13. It will be accompanied by four preconstructed Commander decks, each themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will contain 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards featuring new Final Fantasy art.
