Season 1: Eternal Night Falls of NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals has launched with a surprise: free Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins! Dracula's attack on New York City sets the stage, with the Fantastic Four leading the charge. The season runs from January 10th to April 11th, 2025.

This season introduces Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the roster, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving in a mid-season update. Leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist and The Thing a Vanguard class.

Players can obtain the free Peni Parker (Blue Tarantula skin) and Scarlet Witch (Emporium Matron skin) cosmetics by completing in-game quests and earning Chrono Tokens, without needing the premium battle pass (990 Lattice, approximately $10). Peni Parker's skin is on page three, while Scarlet Witch's is on page nine. Note that while a free emote is available for Scarlet Witch, the MVP animation requires the premium pass. A separate Midnight Features event offers a free Thor skin.

The in-game shop features new premium skins for Invisible Woman (Malice – a black and red villainous design) and Mister Fantastic (The Maker – dark gray with blue accents and a mask).
