Marvel Rivals Season 1 Balancing Updates

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes Detailed

NetEase Games' developer update reveals exciting changes coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. The season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman arrive on day one, with Human Torch and The Thing joining the fray six to seven weeks later.

This season also boasts three new maps, a fresh game mode dubbed "Doom Match," and a compelling battle pass. The $10 battle pass offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion.

Significant balance adjustments are also in store. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, receive nerfs to address their overwhelming power in higher-ranked matches. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom get buffs to enhance their battlefield effectiveness.

Further balance tweaks target Wolverine and Storm, receiving enhancements to encourage diverse strategic play. Cloak and Dagger also see improvements, aiming for greater team composition versatility. Jeff the Land Shark's early warning system will be adjusted to better reflect his ultimate ability's hitbox, though no major changes to the ultimate itself are planned.

While NetEase Games remained silent on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature, speculation abounds regarding hero bonus changes. This feature has generated some controversy, with players debating its impact on game balance.

Overall, Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and refined gameplay, generating considerable anticipation among Marvel Rivals players.
