Get ready for a spooky showdown! Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launches January 10th at 1 AM PST, bringing with it a host of new content, including a thrilling new map: the Sanctum Sanctorum. This iconic location will be the stage for a brand-new Doom Match mode, pitting 8-12 players against each other in a chaotic free-for-all. Only the top 50% will emerge victorious.

Beyond the Sanctum Sanctorum, Season 1 also introduces Midtown and Central Park as playable maps. Midtown will host a new convoy mission, promising intense street battles, while Central Park remains shrouded in mystery, slated for a mid-season reveal.

The Sanctum Sanctorum map itself is a visual feast, blending opulent décor with the surreal. Expect floating cookware, a refrigerator-dwelling squid-like creature, winding staircases, and magically levitating bookshelves – all overseen by a cheerful portrait of Doctor Strange himself. A first look also revealed a cameo appearance by Wong and even Doctor Strange's ghostly canine companion, Bats. The attention to detail is remarkable, creating a vibrant and unsettling atmosphere.

This season's narrative centers around Dracula, who sets a cunning trap for Doctor Strange. With the Sorcerer Supreme temporarily out of commission, the Fantastic Four step up to defend New York City. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman arrive with the season launch, while the Human Torch and The Thing will join the fray in a significant mid-season update.
