Marvel Rivals Gets Suit from PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Later This Month

Marvel Rivals fans are in for a surprise crossover, featuring the iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as a fresh skin option.

PlayStation officially unveiled the news via a post on X/Twitter, showcasing how NetEase Games has adapted the classic ensemble for its popular hero shooter.

Originally designed by Insomniac Games, this streamlined suit debuted in Marvel’s Spider-Man and appeared across all three titles in that acclaimed series. Distinctive for its striking white spider emblem, the design's arrival in Marvel Rivals marks a special collaboration with Sony and its exclusive console franchise. The Advanced Suit 2.0 is scheduled to hit the in-game store on January 30, coinciding with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s PC launch.

Marvel Rivals features a surprise tie-in with Sony's Spider-Man franchise. Since its December release, Marvel Rivals has offered numerous unlockable outfits, making this Spidey skin a particularly notable addition. Beyond its connection to the beloved PlayStation series, Yuri Lowenthal returns as the voice of Peter Parker—a role he held across all three Insomniac titles and in Marvel Rivals itself. Players who equip this costume on January 30 will experience familiar audio cues as they swing into battle.

NetEase’s choice to include Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds exciting content to Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which launched last week. This inaugural season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four, with The Thing and Human Torch slated for arrival soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also committed to releasing a new hero every six weeks moving forward.
