How Gorgon Works in Marvel Snap

Gorgon is a 2-cost, 3-power card with the ability: “Ongoing: Your opponent’s cards that didn’t start in their deck cost 1 more (maximum 6).” This directly counters Arishem decks and impacts strategies relying on generated cards like Discard or Devil Dinosaur decks, although the latter is less prevalent. However, effects like Mobius M. Mobius, Rogue, or Enchantress can negate Gorgon's ability.

How Laufey Works in Marvel Snap

Laufey, a 4-cost, 5-power card, boasts the ability: “On Reveal: Steal 1 Power from each other card here.” With four cards in the opposing location, Laufey effectively becomes a 13-power card. Similar to Spider-Woman but potentially stronger, Laufey synergizes well with Zabu, boosting its effectiveness with cards like Diamondback and Ajax.

How Uncle Ben Works in Marvel Snap

Uncle Ben is a 1-cost, 2-power card with the ability: “When this card is destroyed, replace it with Spider-Man.” This creates synergy with Destroy effects from cards like Carnage, Venom, and Lady Deathstrike, acting as a viable alternative to Bucky Barnes.

While not universally game-changing, these cards offer strategic advantages. Laufey, in particular, shines in affliction-style Ajax decks.

Gorgon Deck:

Ant-Man, Ravonna Renslayer, Gorgon, Sam Wilson, Captain America, Mystique, Mister Fantastic, Luke Cage, Captain America, Moonstone, Anti-Venom (or Iron Lad), Iron Man, Spectrum. (Series 5 cards: Moonstone, Anti-Venom. Iron Lad is a viable replacement for Anti-Venom.)

This deck leverages Ongoing effects with Moonstone, and discounted Iron Man and Mystique for a powerful final turn. Gorgon provides a solid mid-game option, particularly effective against Arishem-heavy meta.

Laufey Deck (Toxic Ajax):

Zabu, Hazmat, Scorpion, U.S. Agent, Luke Cage, Diamondback, Red Guardian, Laufey, Malekith, Anti-Venom, Man-Thing, Ajax. (Series 5 cards: U.S. Agent, Diamondback, Red Guardian, Malekith, Anti-Venom, Ajax. Rocket Raccoon and Groot could replace Red Guardian.)

This deck aims for lane dominance with Ajax and supporting cards like U.S. Agent and Diamondback. Anti-Venom and Malekith provide additional strategic depth.

Uncle Ben Deck:

The Hood, Uncle Ben, Yondu, Cable, Iron Patriot, Killmonger, Baron Zemo, Gladiator, Shang-Chi, Misery, Lady Deathstrike, Death. (Series 5 cards: Iron Patriot, Baron Zemo, Misery. Red Guardian could replace Iron Patriot.)

This deck focuses on disrupting the opponent's deck while maximizing card destruction and synergy. Uncle Ben's transformation into Spider-Man adds further disruption.

Should You Grind Sanctum Showdown for Gorgon, Laufey & Uncle Ben?

Acquiring all three cards requires 3600 Charms, a significant investment. Laufey proves the most valuable addition, especially for affliction-focused decks. Consider prioritizing Series 4 and 5 cards instead, unless you're strongly committed to a Laufey-centric strategy.
