Pokémon GO's Max Out Season: Dynamax Pokémon Arrive!

Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially confirmed the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of its upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new feature will bring a whole new level of challenge and reward to the game.

Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th

The Max Out season runs from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time, to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon encounters!

Dynamax Pokémon Debut!

The season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax versions of classic starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, alongside Skwovet and Wooloo. Trainers can battle and catch these colossal creatures, including shiny variants! Their evolved forms will also be capable of Dynamaxing.

Expect special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards.

Special Research and Max Particles:

A new Seasonal Special Research story will launch on September 3rd (10:00 a.m. local time) and run until December 3rd (9:59 a.m. local time). Complete Max Battle focused tasks to earn valuable Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more.

Max Particle Bundle Available:

Stock up on Max Particles! A bundle containing 4,800 Max Particles will be available on the Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT.

Future Updates:

Rumors suggest the introduction of Power Spots next month, serving as key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection. While Niantic hasn't confirmed Gigantamax Pokémon yet, senior producer John Funtanilla hinted that some Dynamax Pokémon will also be capable of Mega Evolution. More details on Dynamax battles are promised soon.
