Merge Flavor: Decor Restaurant, from TAAP Game Studio, joins the crowded cooking sim genre. This game combines culinary simulation, merge puzzles, and a dramatic storyline. Currently available on Android (Google Play), it's slated for iOS release on May 20th.

The gameplay will be familiar to fans of cooking-themed merge puzzlers. Players build and decorate their restaurant, solve merge puzzles, and progress through a somewhat melodramatic narrative.

While this genre isn't personally appealing to me, I recognize its broad appeal. For those who enjoy this type of game, Merge Flavor: Decor Restaurant offers another option. However, it doesn't introduce groundbreaking new mechanics to the genre.

Similar to the narrative-driven engagement seen in June's Journey, Merge Flavor: Decor Restaurant aims to captivate players with its story. However, it feels like a game that throws in many elements hoping for a winning combination.

Despite this, the game boasts good graphics, simple gameplay, and all the standard features. For the right player, it's likely a satisfying experience.
