Metro 2033's "Cursed" Mission: A Comprehensive Guide

Despite its age, Metro 2033 remains a fan favorite, especially after the release of Metro Awakening. This guide focuses on the challenging "Cursed" mission, often confusing for players due to unclear objectives and the station's layout. This mission begins after the railcar journey from the previous mission.

Locating the Bomb

Bomb Location After reaching the barricaded escalators and speaking with the defenders, you learn an explosives team went missing while attempting to collapse a tunnel. Your task: find and detonate the bomb. Expect constant nosalis attacks; retreat to the defenders for support if overwhelmed. The bomb is located at the far end of the right-hand tunnel. Avoid the ghostly shadows directly ahead – they'll damage you. Once you have the bomb, either proceed to the adjacent tunnel or retreat if necessary.

Destroying the Tunnel

Tunnel Destruction To detonate the bomb, enter the left-hand tunnel (from the defenders' perspective). Artyom automatically plants and lights the fuse; escape immediately to avoid the blast. Alternatively, a grenade or pipe bomb will achieve the same result. Note: nosalises will still infiltrate through other routes.

Securing the Airlock

Airlock Destruction Even with the tunnel destroyed, another task remains: collapsing the airlock. Locate the stairs on the right of the main platform, leading to a torchlit area. Ignore the nosalises and interact with the support columns to place and detonate a pipe bomb. Evacuate quickly! With both entrances sealed, follow Khan to the shrine room and the "Armory" mission.
