New Monster, New Opportunities

Missed the first Open Beta? Fear not! A second opportunity awaits in the first two weeks of February. Following the success of the initial test, this second phase provides another chance to dive into the world of Monster Hunter Wilds before its February 28th release. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced this exciting news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta will feature additional content not seen in the first test, including the formidable Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.

Character data from the previous beta is transferable to this one, and subsequently to the full game upon release. However, game progress won't carry over. As a reward for participation, beta testers will receive in-game bonuses: a decorative Stuffed Felyne Teddy and a special item pack to aid early-game progression.

Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating, "We’ve heard from many of you that you missed the chance to take part in the first beta, or that you wanted to play again, which is why we decided to have a second one. In the meantime, the team is working hard on finishing development on the full game." While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these will not be included in this beta phase.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready for the hunt!
