Mystery of Silence will launch its elusive point-and-click adventure on iOS and Android next week

Scholar Adventure: Mystery of Silence is coming soon to iOS and Android

  • A classic 90s-style puzzler developed using the PowerQuest engine
  • An immersive two-to-three-hour narrative set within a silent abbey holding hidden secrets

When I first reviewed Scholar Adventure: Mystery of Silence last month, I had an immediate sense that this was one of those adventures you discover late at night and simply cannot put down until the very end. Now, arriving just in time for its early March launch on iOS and Android, this engaging puzzler is making its mobile debut following a highly positive reception on Steam last December.

William isn’t exactly an adventurer by nature. Feeling creatively drained and stuck in his routine, he decides that isolation is the sensible solution. Consequently, he retreats to a secluded abbey where the monks have taken vows of silence. While the setting appears calm on the surface, it quickly radiates an undeniable “something here will go wrong” vibe.

And indeed, it does. The peaceful silence soon transforms into something far less comforting, with subtle hints that the monastery guards secrets deeper than just its prayers. There are no grand castle storms or villain chases here; instead, you’ll be examining small inconsistencies, reading between the lines, and gradually realizing that something in this place simply doesn’t add up.

The game stays true to its classic 90s adventure roots. Built with PowerQuest—the same engine behind The Drifter—it prioritizes deliberate pacing over flashy spectacle. You’ll navigate through detailed pixel-art scenes, experiment with item combinations, and solve puzzles that reward patience rather than speed.

A dry sense of humor runs throughout the experience, keeping the tone from tipping into melodrama. At two to three hours in length, the game feels perfectly measured: long enough to immerse yourself in its atmosphere, yet short enough to maintain focus without wandering off track.

Here’s the best part—Mystery of Silence is just the opening chapter of the broader Scholar Adventure series. If mobile players respond as enthusiastically as PC users did, we can certainly expect more entries in this saga once it officially launches on March 6th.
