Neymar's Role in the Kings League

Neymar expressed his enthusiasm, stating his long-time support for Furia: "Anyone who follows me knows how much I've backed Furia since day one. Whenever my schedule allows, I'll be working closely with the team." His primary responsibility will be assembling Furia's Kings League roster. The 7v7 league requires a 13-player team, with presidents selecting 10 from a pool of 222 players. He'll also have the opportunity to participate in matches via the "president penalty" rule.

Understanding the Kings League

The Kings League, co-founded by Gerard Piqué and streamer Ibai Llanos, is a unique tournament blending traditional sports and esports. Having expanded to Italy and Central America, it features innovative gameplay mechanics like "double goal" bonuses and temporary player removals. The Brazilian edition, taking place in São Paulo from March to April, will include prominent teams like Fluxo and Loud, and the draft will be broadcast live on February 24th.

Neymar's Deep-Rooted Connection with Furia

Neymar's support for Furia predates this recent partnership. He's been a vocal fan since their 2019 CS:GO Major qualification, frequently sharing their highlights and celebrating their victories on social media. He even attempted to invest in the organization years ago.

Beyond Furia: Neymar's Esports Involvement

Neymar's passion for esports extends beyond Furia. He's played exhibition matches with Fallen, a Brazilian esports legend, and socializes with other prominent players like s1mple. His close friendship with Furia CEO Andre Akkari, a professional poker player, further underscores his engagement with the gaming community.
