1. Post-Chapter 5: After defeating Adam and Eve in Chapter 5, you'll receive a call from Operator 6O. Immediately complete the "Investigating Communications" quest; it's easily missed.

2. Chapter 6 & 7 Progression: Advance through Chapter 6 (Forest Castle events) and into Chapter 7.

3. "Terminal Repairs": Following a conversation with Pascal about A2, explore the city ruins until Operator 6O contacts you again, directing you to an access point to initiate the "Terminal Repairs" quest.

4. "Find a Present": While returning to the Resistance Camp during Chapter 7, you'll receive a final message from Operator 6O about flowers. This message, found in your inbox, begins the "Find a Present" quest.

5. Reward: Completing "Find a Present" delivers the Type-40 sword to your inbox.

Type-40 Sword Stats & Upgrades

At level 1, the Type-40 Sword boasts a 5-hit light attack combo and a 3-hit heavy attack combo. Upgrading it to level 4 increases the light attack combo to 7 hits and enhances its effectiveness against stunned enemies. Titanium Alloy is needed for these upgrades.
