Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released

Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the event also unveiled Ninja Gaiden 4, the highly anticipated next installment in Koei Tecmo's acclaimed franchise. Scheduled for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to action-packed ninja combat.

The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa, the iconic protagonist, navigating a rain-soaked cyberpunk metropolis. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative gameplay mechanics, including agile traversal using wires and rails, as seen in the gameplay footage. Players will confront waves of augmented soldiers and formidable otherworldly enemies in their quest to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

Complementing the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 4, Developer_Direct also featured a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), this updated version leverages Unreal Engine 5. Team Ninja has meticulously overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later games in the series, and adding three new playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's extensive efforts on both Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster are certainly deserving of significant community praise.
