Switch 2 Release Date Confirmed by Nintendo

The release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally here: it's launching on June 5, 2025.

Alongside this news, we also learned the Nintendo Switch 2 price starts at $449.99.

The Nintendo Switch 2 package includes:

Nintendo Switch 2 console
Joy-Con 2 controllers (L+R)
Joy-Con 2 Grip
Joy-Con 2 Straps
Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable
Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter
USB-C Charging Cable

In addition, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will cost $499.99 in the United States. This bundle includes the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World, which will be available starting June 5, the same day the Nintendo Switch 2 launches.

Mario Kart World alone is priced at $79.99, meaning the standalone game is $10 more than Nintendo's previous highest-priced Switch title.
