Battletoads/Double Dragon, Big Run, and More!

Prepare for a nostalgic gaming experience! Nintendo is adding four SNES titles from the early 90s to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. This diverse selection offers beat 'em up action, thrilling racing, challenging puzzles, and even a dodgeball tournament.

First up: the legendary crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. This mashup pits the brawling Battletoads against the Double Dragon brothers in a fight against the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Five playable characters are available: Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and ported to SNES in December 1993, this Battletoads/Double Dragon release marks its first re-release in decades.

Next, get ready for some dodgeball action in Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, this game challenges players to dodgeball supremacy across various courts, from indoor arenas to outdoor beaches, each with unique challenges.

Initially released for the Super Famicom in August 1993.

Puzzle fans will appreciate Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo, players strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score points. Three modes are included: 1P Mode (solo high score chase), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasingly difficult challenges). Line up containers horizontally and utilize blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially an arcade release in 1992, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle later appeared on Super Famicom, and has seen re-releases on Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
