Overwatch 2's Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover event sparked creative fan suggestions, particularly regarding a missed opportunity for a Junkrat skin. While the event featured six Avatar-themed skins for main characters like Zenyatta and Genji, many players felt the collaboration could have been more expansive.

One fan, drawnbyjared, designed a Junkrat skin based on the iconic Cabbage Merchant, a concept that resonated with the community. The idea of Junkrat's projectiles being cabbages, offering a comedic twist on the character and a potential "revenge" for the perpetually harassed merchant, proved particularly popular. This isn't the first time Overwatch 2 players have created their own skins for crossovers; a similar trend occurred during the My Hero Academia event.

The Cabbage Merchant isn't the only Avatar character fans believe deserved a skin. Prior to the event, Reddit users highlighted the missed potential of an Ashe skin, given she shares a voice actor with June from Avatar. While the connection between Junkrat and the Cabbage Merchant is less direct, their shared comedic nature made the fan-created skin concept compelling.
