TouchArcade Rating:

During yesterday's Nintendo Indie World Partner Direct showcase, Red Nexus Games announced and released their pachinko roguelike Peglin (Free) for Nintendo Switch. I wasn't aware that the Steam version also reached its 1.0 milestone at the same time. After purchasing the Switch version, I've been playing it extensively, though our full review requires a bit more time. Following its Switch debut yesterday and the subsequent Steam update hours later, Peglin has now officially launched version 1.0 on iOS and Android as well. This major update introduces the final Cruciball levels (17-20), a new forest miniboss, a rare roundrel relic, numerous balance improvements, gameplay adjustments to dull pegs, bestiary research rate modifications, and much more. You can find the complete patch notes in the game's Steam news section. If you haven't experienced Peglin yet, watch the gameplay trailer below:

Although Peglin has reached its 1.0 milestone today, the development team continues to plan future updates, and I'm excited to see what they'll implement next. For those interested in trying it now, you can read my iOS review from last year's initial launch. I also conducted an interview with Red Nexus Games discussing the game's development, pricing strategy, and other interesting details. The mobile version of Peglin offers a free trial experience, available on the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android users. We previously honored it as our Game of the Week during its initial release. You can also purchase it on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Visit our forum thread to share your thoughts and join discussions about the iOS version. Have you played Peglin on mobile or PC before, and what are your impressions of this significant update?
